Station 171 is our headquarters, with administrative staff offices as well as a minimum of three firefighter/EMT or paramedics, often staffed with four. This station houses our ladder truck, a 2018 Sutphen SL75 capable of reaching most any roof on the island. This is also our first response to all medical calls, serving as an Advanced Life Support operations with paramedic(s) and EMTs. Other apparatus include our brush/wildland fire truck, a beach access vehicle. This station also serves as our marine emergency response location. Our marine unit is docked at the base of the causeway.
Sanibel Fire & Rescue District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
